IATSE partners with Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to provide 800 meals for entertainment workers

Los Angeles, CA — Due to COVID-19, the entertainment industry was shut down virtually overnight. As a result, many individuals found themselves in need of food assistance. For some of them, it was the first time they found themselves in this situation.

In light of the dire situation, IATSE teamed up with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to provide more than 800 meals to those who faced layoffs or reduced hours.

“We’ve reached out to our brothers, sisters, kin in SAG-AFTRA, Teamsters, Laborers, IBEW… Everyone who needs help in our industry was invited to come by and pick up some food for themselves and their families”, said IATSE Vice-President Mike Miller.
